Our 1st Anniversary: A Love That Transcends Every Distance, Time, and Limitless Forever

 

Happy Anniversary, Mahal ko!

Since our very first chat, Eddie and I fell into a pattern of connection: hours of talking before bed, picking up right where we left off when we woke up in our respective time zones. That's a lot of chatting, and as always, time flew. It took Eddie less than a month to fall for me. I wasn't ready nor was I looking, but I felt the love just as quickly. I waited for that perfect moment—exactly one month after we started talking—to give him the poem where I finally said, "I love you now."

I want to share that poem with you today.

The Poem: Now

I thought of you today, more than I thought of myself. I pictured your smile, your laughter, the things I cherish. Your letters, your poems—they hold a special, treasured place in my heart. Your love fills me with joy, warms my soul, and makes every day brighter. Life is sweeter with you in it.

In every action, every word, you're always there for me. You've gently chipped away at the walls I built to protect myself, and that's okay. Fear no longer holds me captive. I am not alone anymore; you are my sanctuary and my rock.

I am thankful for today. I am thankful because I might never have known you, and you might never have known me, and because I love you, now.

To celebrate our first year, we decided to skip the traditional scrapbook and prove that our LDR is literally out of this world! We wanted to create a tribute that shows our connection could conquer any era, any distance, and any dimension. So, we put together a wild, four-part photo and video series exploring the many different lives of us!

Our LDR Chronicles: A Journey Across Dimensions

1. "A Thousand Miles Away Between Us" (Vintage)

We loved creating this historical fantasy of our LDR! We captured the feeling of a classic couple in the 1950s—separated by miles but connected by heartfelt promises, all with a truly timeless, romantic feel. This series reminds us that the core of our commitment is unbreakable.

2. "A Thousand Miles Away Between Us" (Modern)

In the present day, technology makes long-distance love both easier and more complicated. Video calls, instant messages, and social media can make you feel closer, but they can also highlight the distance. This series captures the reality of a modern LDR, from video call dates to scrolling through your partner's photos, all while trying to make the most of our digital connection.

3. "A Light Year Away" (Galactic Future)

What if your love was so big it spanned galaxies? Our third series ventures into a futuristic, galactic theme. The photos show a couple separated by light-years, communicating through holographic messages and navigating the vastness of space to be with each other. This one is for all the love stories that truly feel out of this world.

4. "Across the Quantum Divide" (Parallel Universes)

Our final series explores the concept of parallel universes. What if, in another reality, you and your partner were never apart? This series is a dreamy, ethereal look at a love that exists simultaneously in two different dimensions. It’s a beautiful tribute to the idea that some connections are so strong they exist across all timelines and all realities.
